Recently, Thai Binh Duong University had an effective meeting with Professor Nicolas Mainetti, Director of the Francophone University Agency for the Asia-Pacific region (AUF – Asie-Pacifique). The meeting was attended by Professor Dao Van Dong, Rector of the University, along with representatives from the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Tourism, and the International Cooperation Department.

AUF, with its mission to promote cooperation and development in higher education within the Francophone community, is a vital partner for numerous universities worldwide. With the desire to expand international collaboration and enhance the quality of education, TBD has proactively sought opportunities to cooperate with AUF. Notably, TBD boasts a number of outstanding lecturers who hold master’s and doctoral degrees from France, providing a significant advantage in fostering educational partnerships with Francophone universities.

During the meeting, both sides discussed various potential areas of collaboration, including:

  • Implementing specialized French language instruction, particularly in the fields of Law and Tourism.
  • Developing a bilingual English-French master’s program in Law, targeting students from French-speaking countries and regions.
  • Collaborating on joint research projects, co-organizing conferences, and publishing scientific works.
  • Providing and exchanging experts and facilitating other collaborative activities.

TBD also expresses its desire to become an affiliated member of AUF, thereby gaining access to numerous collaborative opportunities and further development. Professor Nicolas Mainetti also shares his readiness to support TBD faculty in their studies and research in French-speaking countries.

The meeting was successfully conducted, laying the foundation for a long-lasting and sustainable partnership between TBD and AUF in the near future. This is a significant step forward, not only enhancing the quality of education and research at TBD but also contributing to the promotion of cultural and educational exchanges between Vietnam and the French-speaking community.
